We already knew that Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins would host this year’s CMA Country Christmas, but now we know who some of the performers will be as well! Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay, Gabby Barrett, Lady A, Little Big Town and Darius Rucker with Lindsey Stirling will all take the stage for the virtual holiday special.

“The idea for this year’s show was to do a throwback of the great Christmas specials of the 1960s and 1970s,” says Robert Deaton, Executive Producer of CMA Country Christmas. “Andy Williams, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra all had classic Christmas specials where the viewer was invited into the homes of the host to celebrate the holiday like a best friend coming to visit.

“That was what we wanted to create for this year’s show,” he continued. “Instead of a big flashy production, we took a page from those iconic specials to say, ‘Come relax, and let’s celebrate the holidays together.’”

It’s fitting that Thomas and Lauren are hosting CMA Country Christmas, since the parents of three admit they love everything about the holiday season.

“We go straight from Halloween to Christmas, pretty much, ” Thomas told Good Morning America.. “We’ve even had Halloween decorations up inside and Christmas lights outside.”

“I feel like this year, everyone’s needed things to celebrate and look forward to, and so it was like, the second Halloween was over, we started — I started — decorating for Christmas,” Lauren added.

Lady A’s Hillary Scott is also eager for CMA Country Christmas to air, as well as to embrace everything else about the holiday season, especially this year.

“It can’t get here fast enough,” Hillary said (via Taste of Country). “But at the same time, I want it to last forever, because it’s the most enjoyable part of the year.”

CMA Country Christmas will air on November 30 at 9:00 PM ET on ABC.
