Less than a day after Tim McGraw and Florida Georgia Line‘s Tyler Hubbard announced they were releasing a song, “Undivided,” together, McGraw shared a snippet of the song on social media.
“Tyler sent me this song a few months ago and from the first time I heard it….I knew it was one I wanted to be singing for a long time,” McGraw said of the new collaboration. “We got together in the studio last month and created something real special. Hope y’all agree when you hear it!! #UNDIVIDED coming Jan. 13th.”

“Undivided,” which says in part, “Look around and love somebody, we’ve been hateful long enough / May the good Lord reunite us to this country that we love / Undivided,” will be released on an upcoming deluxe version of McGraw’s latest Here on Earth album.
“Music gives us hope and brings us together in a way nothing else can. This doesn’t mean we don’t have work to do. Quite the opposite,” McGraw said of the uplifting new song. “I loved the positivity of this song and that it called me to check myself and to remember that love is bigger. It’s why I knew this song had to be my next single with Tyler as soon as he sent it to me.”
The collaboration comes shortly after Hubbard and his Florida Georgia Line partner, Brian Kelley, announced that they were working on solo projects, with Kelley planning to release his own record.
“We’re really creating just some freedom for ourselves, in addition to what we do with FGL,” Kelley said. “I think it was really cool navigating through what that looks like…I really got back to writing for myself, and I haven’t gotten to do that. I feel really fulfilled.”
Although both Hubbard and Kelley might be doing things apart from each other, the men insist FGL will be together for a long, long time.
“We’re going to continue to make music as much as we can,” maintained Hubbard. “As a matter of fact, we’re probably going to be making even more music now. We’ve enabled ourselves; we’ve created this freedom around ourselves to kind of do whatever we want to do creatively and musically, So it’s a lot of fun.
“We’re going to still do stuff together… It’s a beautiful place to be to venture out, and have a voice of our own,” he added. “Have an individuality a little bit. We’ve always been a package deal, which has been amazing, but I think there’s freedom at this age and in this time and where we’re at, to be able to not always be a package deal.”
