Tracy Lawrence has a new role behind the microphone. The singer-songwriter announces the launch of his TL’s Road House podcast, with Jelly Roll as his first guest. Other artists appearing on upcoming episodes of the podcast include Jason Aldean, Michael Ray, Alexandra Kay, Lainey Wilson, Tracy Byrd, Dustin Lynch and Dee Jay Silver.
“I’m really excited to launch TL’s Road House,” Lawrence says “There are so many artists and people in the industry that I’ve wanted to sit down with— ultimately, I just wanted the chance to get to know my peers.”
Lawrence is quite accustomed to being interviewed, but admits it was a bit of an adjustment to becoming the one asking the questions instead of answering them.
“It’s definitely a learning curve putting this podcast together,” Lawrence says. “Cameras have fallen for sure, but we’ve made some good adjustments after getting a few in the can.”
Lawrence is continuing to tour this fall, including on his joint co-headlining tour with his good friend, Clay Walker. The two first hit the road together in 2021, quickly realizing how much fun they had together, sharing a stage.
“We wanted to do more of it,” Lawrence told Everything Nash. “Last year, we did a four-day run. We went in to do rehearsals and it really went so well that we were trying to find places to do more of it last year, but our tour schedules were slammed. We got nine of these done and there may be more as we look down the road. I think that’s the plan is to try to do more of them.”
Lawrence also just announced the lineup for his Mission:Possible Turkey Fry Concert. The “Paint Me a Birmingham” singer will be joined by Gary Allan and Travis Denning, with more artists expected to be announced in the near future.
A new episode of TL’s Road House will premiere every Wednesday via Anchor, and will also be available on Lawrence’s YouTube channel. Watch the first episode, with Jelly Roll, here.
