Several country artists, including Trisha Yearwood, Jimmie Allen, Brad Paisley, Little Big Town and more, are part of a special all-day programming event, airing on the Circle Network on Saturday, September 11. Circle Remembers 9/11 presented by Wounded Warrior Project, will include stories from veterans, as well as their families and friends. The all-day event will “honor and pay tribute to the commitment and sacrifice of our heroes, culminating in two primetime specials featuring performances from iconic country music stars.”
Veterans and representatives from the Wounded Warrior Project will also share their recollections of 9/11, and the impact it had on both their lives and their military careers.
At 8:00 AM ET a special Coffee, Country & Cody: Remembers 9/11 live special, hosted by Bill Cody and military veteran Michael “CQ” Carrasquillo, will feature special guest interviews throughout the morning. At 6:00 PM ET, Songs from September: The Music That Healed A Nation will air. Hosted by Bobby Bones, the special will take a look a the music that came in the aftermath of the September 11 events. Artists will also share what music helped them as they struggled with the tragic events.
At 8:00 PM ET, a star-studded show will take place, featuring performances, warrior stories, tribute and performances, including the Bacon Brothers, who will sing from Ground Zero. Billy Ray Cyrus, Brad Paisley, Carly Pearce, Craig Morgan, Jimmie Allen, Lauren Alaina, Little Big Town, the McCrary Sisters, MercyMe, Trace Adkins, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill, and more will perform at various locations, including the Grand Ole Opry, in Shanksville, Pennsylvania and in Washington, D.C.
