There’s a new collaboration coming from Trisha Yearwood and Lauren Alaina! Lauren just announced that her single, “Getting Good,” was getting some star treatment from Trisha. Lauren announced the news on social media, sharing a clip of a former episode of Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, which included Lauren, with the two of them singing part of the song.
“I never could’ve imagined that this YEARWOOD give me the opportunity to release a duet with one of my favorite singers of all time,” Lauren posted. “I’m so proud to announce that [Trisha Yearwood] and I are releasing a collaboration of my single, Getting Good, this Friday.”

Lauren released “Getting Good” in September, while on Dancing With the Stars, where she came in fourth. The video stars her pro dancing partner, Gleb Savchenko. “Getting Good” is also the title track for her EP, released in March, although she hints a full-length album is coming.
“I have been singing new songs on the road that aren’t yet released,” Lauren previously said. “I’m working on my third album — it’s not finished yet, but I decided the songs we’re doing live, I’m going to put on an EP!”
The new record has yet to be announced, but the American Idol alum did hint it would be country.
“I think, on this album, we’re gonna play with including some very traditional-sounding songs on there,” Lauren revealed. “I was trying to tap into some of my roots, being a Georgia girl growing up. My family’s from Alabama, and they’re farmers. I don’t know that I’ve totally shown that part of myself, 100 percent.”.
Trisha has been hosting guests on her award-winning cooking show, including Caylee Hammack, Ashley McBryde and her stepdaughter, Allie Colleen, who appeared last week. “Getting Good” featuring Trisha will be released on June 26. Trisha’s Southern Kitchen airs on the Food Network on Saturdays at 12:00 PM ET.
