Trisha Yearwood to Receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Trisha Yearwood will soon have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The country music icon will receive the 2805th star on Monday, March 24th. Yearwood will be honored with remarks by both Reba McEntire and Carly Pearce.

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is honored to welcome renowned country singer Trisha Yearwood to the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame,” states Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer. “Her remarkable talent has touched the hearts of millions around the world.”

Pearce spoke out about the honor of paying tribute to Yearwood, who inducted Pearce into the Grand Ole Opry in 2021.

“I can’t believe this is real life,” Pearce shares on her Instagram Stories. “One of the highest honors of my career. Can’t wait to celebrate the force that is Trisha Yearwood.”

Yearwood will be in good company on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her husband, Garth Brooks, already has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as does McEntire. Several other country artists have also received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, including Shania Twain, Blake Shelton,  Tim McGraw, Clint Black, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and many more. George Strait and Keith Urban will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2025.

Yearwood’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame comes at a pivotal time in her career. The 60-year-old will release an album of songs she wrote this year. Yearwood is also embarking on a tour in support of her new record.

“I’m gonna come to a few venues this spring, to do some pretty cool performances, and it’s been a while,” Yearwood announces. “I hope you’ll come and hear some of your favorite songs, and maybe some new things too will become your new favorites. I can’t wait to see you.”

Yearwood recently revealed that she was trying her hand at songwriting, after decades of letting herself believe she wasn’t talented enough.

“I’ve let it be true, but not anymore,” Yearwood tells CMT.  “It’s still hard for me, but I’m doing it. I’m always nervous when I go, but I get a little less nervous every time. It’s just been really good. I’m so excited about it.”

It was Yearwood’s good friend, songwriter Leslie Satcher, who convinced Yearwood to try to write some of her own songs.

“She’s like, ‘Girl, every time we get together, I think you’ve got something to say,’” Yearwood shares. “So, I finally said, ‘Okay, I’ll do this with you, but I’m really nervous.’”

One of the first songs Yearwood penned was about her mother Gwen, who passed away in 2011.

“We wrote a song about my mom,” Yearwood says. “I just started booking appointments, and I’m just writing, and whatever comes of it – great. It’s bringing me joy, and I’m getting ready to go in the studio.”

Yearwood’s ceremony will be streamed live at WalkofFame.com. The ceremony will take place at 11:30 AM PT/2:30 PM ET
