Tyler Hubbard enlisted the help of one of his famous friends, namely Terry Crews, to film the video for his current single, “Dancin’ In The Country.” The song, written by Ross Copperman, Jon Nite and Keith Urban, is the title track of Hubbard’s debut EP as a solo artist, out last year, and will also be on his eponymous full-length album, to be released on January 27.
“We knew we kind of wanted to go big on this ‘Dancin’ In The Country’ video,” Hubbard shares with UMG Nashville. “We had a really cool treatment, a cool concept that sort of required an iconic actor, if you will, an iconic face – somebody that would stand out and bring this story to life and really do it justice. So, we started a list, me and the team, sort of dream people and at the top of the list was Terry Crews.”
Crews, who has served as the host of America’s Got Talent since 2019, is a former professional football player, who has also appeared in numerous movies and TV shows throughout his career. Hubbard was already a big fan of Crews before filming the “Dancin’ In The Country” video, but now is an even bigger fan thanks to how Crews conducted himself, on and off camera.
“The stuff he’s done and then getting to meet him in person, now I’m even a bigger fan,” Hubbard shares. “He’s one of the coolest dudes in the world, super laid-back and down-to-earth and funny and humble, and just everything you hoped he would be. He came in and crushed it. He actually came in a day prior and learned a bunch of choreography and was just really super talented, learned really quickly, and really did a great job on set. And the energy was just amazing. Not only Terry, but all the dancers did such a great job. So, the video is really probably one of my favorite videos I’ve ever been a part of and really brought this song to life in a perfect way.”

Like a lot of Hubbard’s music, “Dancin’ In The Country” was inspired by how his life really is with his wife, Hayley, daughter, Olivia and sons Luca and Atlas.
“Me and the three kids and my wife, we go in the playroom, turn the party lights on just about every night and have a dance party,” Hubbard shares. “So, this is one of those songs that always worked in the dance parties and feels like something that’ll be really fun to take on tour and play live and hopefully get the crowd moving the way the kids do during the dance parties.”
