Tyler Hubbard Releases ‘Everybody Needs a Bar’ Video [WATCH]

More music is here from Tyler Hubbard! The father of three just released the video for “Everybody Needs a Bar.” The song, written by Hubbard along with Jordan Schmidt and Zachary Kale, is from Hubbard’s Dancin’ in the Country EP, out now.

“Everybody should have a place – their own version of a bar – to go where they feel a sense of welcoming and belonging,” Hubbard says of the inspiration behind the video. “I think we were able to create that vibe in this video. It’s Friday at 5:01 somewhere, so cheers to y’all and I hope you enjoy the video.”

Hubbard just kicked off his run with Keith Urban, joining Ingrid Andress as one of the opening acts on Urban’s  The Speed of Now World Tour. The tour for Hubbard begins after he and his Florida Georiga Line partner, Brian Kelley, performed their final show together as a duo.

“I just want to take a second because I don’t want this moment to get lost tonight,” Hubbard said from the stage (via Country Now). “I want to express our gratitude, from BK and myself, from the bottom of our heart, for the last 12 years of our life that you guys have allowed us to do what we love. You’ve enabled us to chase this crazy dream of writing songs and playing shows and hoping somebody will show up to listen, so thank you guys. It really, really means the world to us.”

Both Hubbard and Kelley are now fully committed to their solo careers, which for Hubbard includes his first full-length solo album, out in January.

“I really wanted to reestablish myself as an artist, as an individual, and differentiate myself from FGL,” Hubbard said during a recent virtual media event. “But also, FGL is such a huge part of who I am and especially who I was that I didn’t want to get too far away from it, because it was and is really authentic. And I really wanted to channel that, but maybe even go deeper in writing to have songs that were more personal.

“So that was very intentional with this project,” he continued, “and it was an opportunity for me, like I’ve never had before, to get to write songs from a different perspective without worrying about, ‘Does this fit under the umbrella or the brand of FGL? Or does this cater to BK as well? Does this fit our story as opposed to does this fit my story?’”
