Vince Gill and Amy Grant’s Daughter Performs in Honor of Her Mother [WATCH]

Vince Gill had a very special guest for the second night of his four-night residency at the Ryman Auditorium: his daughter, Corrina, whom he shares with his wife, Amy Grant. Corrina performed in honor of her mother, who was home recovering following a bike accident that left her hospitalized.

“Last night Vince performed his second concert of a four night residency at the Ryman,” Grant’s team shared on social media. “He informed the crowd that Amy was getting better every day after a bike crash last week that left her unconscious for about 10 minutes and with a concussion (along with various cuts and bruises). He then introduced their daughter Corrina who performed a song in honor of her mom…. Show stopper moment.”

Gill introduced Corrina to the crowd, explaining why he wanted her to sing the song, which was originally “When My Amy Prays.” Corrina changed the song to “When My Mama Prays” instead.

“We’re going to do this song that I wrote for my wife, Amy,” Gill said. “We haven’t been doing it much, but because of her accident and what she’s going through, I’m thinking a lot about her. I thought how sweet it would be for her youngest to sing a song I wrote for her.”

During the first night of Gill’s residency, he shared more details about his wife and her injjuries.

“She was unconscious for about ten or 15 minutes. I don’t think they talked about that too much, but that was scary,” Gill shared.

Grant’s team recently gave another update on Grant, revealing that she was recovering at home, but unfortunately would be unable to tour for several weeks.

“Earlier this week Amy Grant was in an accident after hitting a pothole while riding her bicycle with a friend (note: she was wearing a helmet),” her team said. “Following a brief hospitalization where she was treated for her injuries, doctors have ordered additional recovery time at home for Amy, where she is now resting comfortably.

“Due to the doctor’s orders she has had to postpone her upcoming August concerts (Knoxville, Chattanooga, Johnson City, Wilmington),” the statement continues. “The concerts have been rescheduled for April and June, 2023. All tickets will be honored at the new performance dates. There are no other changes to her touring schedule at this time. Go to www.AmyGrant.com for the latest concert schedule and details.”

“When My Amy Prays” is from Gill’s 2019 Okie album. All of Gill’s music and tour dates can be found here.
