As the Grand Ole Opry prepares to welcome up to 500 guests in-person for their October shows, we now know which artists will be performing each week. Vince Gill, Terri Clark, Lorrie Morgan and Dierks Bentley will kick off the first show, taking place on Saturday, October 3.
The show on October 10, called Opry Firsts, will feature Jeannie Seely, Carly Pearce and Josh Turner, with more artists expected to be announced. The show will celebrate Opry debuts and other firsts that have taken place on the hallowed stage.
The October 17 will include performances by Bill Anderson, Brandy Clark and Chris Janson, with other guests to be announced later, The show, 95 Years of Great Opry Songs, will celebrate “top songs and those who wrote them.”
October 24 will be the annual Opry Goes Pink event, now in its 12th year, highlighting the ongoing fight against breast cancer. Lauren Alaina, Little Big Town and Victoria Shaw will be among the performers for that night.
Clint Black and Steve Wariner will perform on October 31. Details for that show have yet to be announced.
The Grand Ole Opry recently announced that they would begin to allow guests in October, after being closed to audience members since mid-March, due to COVID-19.
“The Opry will welcome back up to 500 guests each Saturday in October to experience the Opry Live television and livestream filming,” the Grand Ole Opry announced on their website. “Fans who previously purchased tickets to the Grand Ole Opry shows prior to the COVID-19 shutdown will be given a pre-ale opportunity to buy tickets.
“Should tickets be available for purchase following the pre-sale, this information will be updated,” the statement continued. “More details for other Opry 95th Anniversary Celebration shows and digital events happening throughout the month of October will be announced soon.”
All October shows will still be one hour. They will be broadcast on Circle and Gray TV stations, DISH Studio Channel 102, Sling TV, and other TV affiliates, as well as a companion live stream on Circle All Access Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. The Grand Ole Opry shows can also be heard on 650 WSM-AM, wsmonline.com, and SiriusXM.
Tickets for October 10 – 31 shows will first be made available to those who had previously held tickets for October shows. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, Oct. 2 at 10 AM. More information can be found at Opry.com.
