It’s a big day for Music City! Virgin Hotels Nashville opened on Music Row on Wednesday, July 1, three years after construction began. The hotel boasts 14 floors, two restaurants, a poolside bar, coffee shop and more.
“We wanted to open before the July 4 weekend to offer locals a place to dine and stay, away from the house,” Heather O’Dell, the hotel’s marketing manager, told The Tennessean. “It’s been a long time coming.”
Virgin Hotels Nashville offers a state-of-the-art technology for guests. An app will allow guests to control room service, room temperature, their TV and more. Contact-less room service is available. Both an indoor and outdoor bar are located on the top floor, giving an almost 360-degree view of Nashville.
“Given Virgin’s history in the music industry, Nashville was a natural fit for the expansion of Virgin Hotels,” billionaire Richard Branson, who was the financial backer for the project, said in a statement. “More importantly, we were drawn to the spirit of the Music City.”
The poolside bar and Pool Club restaurant will also be open to non-guests, as will the main dining room, Commons Club, and the Funny Library Coffee Shop. Safety measures because of COVID-19 will be strictly enforced, allowing both local visitors and out-of-town guests an unforgettable experience.
“We’ve taken measures above and beyond our standards to ensure our guests will feel comfortable, safe and well taken care of,” Virgin Hotels CEO Raul Leal said. “With our unique dining destinations, we’ve created charming spaces that locals will frequent, and visitors will return to time and time again.”
The Pool Club offers surprisingly affordable options, including Nashville Hot Fish & Chips for $12, or their signature burger, called the TPC Burger, for only $17.
